Profile
Johns career in the property world started at the tender age of 10, holding the tape measure for his father measuring up houses to put on the market in his family Estate Agency.
He left school at 17 to join the business and at 18 he had purchased his first property deal. By the time he was 19 he had taken over the business trebling its turnover in 3 years. He sold it when he was 24 to concentrate on property development full time
At 25 he became one of the youngest Directors of a football league club when joining Cambridge United FC where he stayed for 18 years, eventually purchasing the ground and renting it back to the club along with his business partners, an issue that became controversial.
In 2007 he successfully called the top of the market making no real purchases, opting instead to train racehorses, another passion of his.
In 2009 he re-entered the market investing along with his long-term business partner into Auction House UK, now the 4th largest and fastest growing property auction business in the UK.
In a further move that year they purchased and opened a number of Fine & Country Estate Agents across East Anglia. Fine & Country are now the largest Estate Agency group in the UK selling prestigious property.
